Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a space to slow down, breathe, and talk about what you’re carrying in a supportive, collaborative relationship. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or navigating a life transition, therapy can help you better understand yourself and begin making meaningful, sustainable changes.

I offer trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive therapy that honors your whole self, mind, body, and lived experience. Our work centers your goals, values and pace. Virtual and in-person individual therapy is offered to adults in the DC metropolitan area.

What Individual Therapy Can Support

Individual therapy can support many emotional,, relational, and life concerns, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

  • Depression or low mood

  • Life transitions and identity exploration

  • Trauma and complex trauma

  • Grief and loss

  • Burnout and chronic stress

  • Self-esteem, boundaries, and self-trust

This list is not exahaustive. We work together to identify what feels most important for you.

How I Work

My approach is collaborative, attuned, and grounded in the belief that people have an innate capacity for healing and growth. I integrate talk therapy with brain-based and mind-body approaches to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and deeper self-understanding.

I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and work with individuals impacted by intergenerational, cultural, and systemic stressors, including people with racialized identities and those from historically marginalized racial and ethnic communities. Care is paced intentionally, with attention to safety, choice and your lived experience.

Who This May Be a Good Fit For

Individual therapy may be a good fit if you:

  • Want a supportive space to explore your inner world

  • Are seeking deeper understanding of patterns and relationships

  • Feel stuck despite insight or self-awareness

  • Are open to integrating reflective, relational, and body-aware approaches

  • Value therapy that honors cultural context and identity

You do not need to have everything figured out to begin.

What to Expect

Sessions are collaborative and guided by your goals. Some sessions may focus on talking and reflection, while others may incorporate gentle experiential or brain-based techniques when appropriate. Together, we work toward greater awareness, self-compassion, and the capacity to relate to yourself and others in new ways.

Some clients also choose to integrate Brainspotting Therapy into individual work.
